Physical Education
At Patcham Junior School, we provide a well mapped out PE curriculum that includes opportunities for the children to experience and excel in a range of sports, whilst developing a life-long love of physical activities. Our aim is to ensure that through high-quality teaching and celebrating individual strengths, we build self-esteem, develop confidence and encourage teamwork in competitive and non-competitive sports. As a school, we develop skills and fitness to enable each child to be the best they can be, reach their full potential and therefore be proud of their achievements. We promote the positive impact of leading a healthy and active life for both the time that they are in school and beyond. Our CPD provided by JA Sports Coaching ensures that we have progressively covered the requirements of the PE curriculum and that we build upon fundamental skills throughout Key Stage 2. Our lessons are differentiated to ensure that all children are able to take part in PE regardless of age, gender, physique, ability or disability.
